Samsung Promises Phone with Flexible Screen

In 2010 and Samsung has showcased an AMOLED screen fleksibelnya in FPD-International expo. Type 4.5-inch AMOLED was designed for a phone with a flexible screen, with WVGA resolution (800 x 480), power-saving and has a faster response time.


The question is when are we going to have a phone with a flexible screen?, Samsung has promised to introduce mobile phone with a flexible display in 2012. The company also said it plans to introduce the technology for tablets and other portable devices.

Technology called Super AMOLED's bendy-in designs using plastic as glass, so it is quite flexible and not easily broken. Samsung vice president Robert Yi said, "Views flexible, we will introduce in 2012, hopefully before," "The application for this technology may be initiated from the handset" he added.

Of course the biggest challenge is how to put the battery, sim slots, the antenna and the processor on a thin flexible screen. Because if the technology is actually implemented on a mobile phone or other device then this is something really new 'out of the box' of other products and earlier.
