Cloud Shredder, Most Secure Data Storage Solutions

 

The problem of digital data storage is very important, storage in a PC or laptop is clearly not safe if it does not make backups at other places because vulnerable to data theft is misused, although there are ways to encrypt data or delete it remotely, but this is not perfect.
Perform cloud-based data storage was also not as safe as imagined, where the theft of data can also be done by hackers and even the owner of the storage cloud itself, as the case with Sony's Play Station Network.

With the data cases like this, the researchers looked for new ways to cover the gap for hackers as well as owners of their own cloud storage Cloud called Shredder.
Cloud Shredder is a storage system that combines two types of data storage on a computer that is 50% and 50% in cloud storage, the technology is made by Nan Zhang, Jiwu Jing and Peng Liu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
It works by dividing the data into two parts, where the first part is placed on local devices (PC or laptop users) and the second part on the remote server is a kind of Dropbox. From the user's use of Cloud Shredder of course, must use the internet, because to be able to access, create, or delete the file link to the server should have to work / active, if the link is broken, of course half the file is not accessible or readable again.
So this way is considered very safe, because to access the files then the files should be put back together with the terms link to stay connected. So if someone steals the data on local devices 50% of the existing data in the cloud storage can not be opened (broken) and vice versa. And that the data stolen in one of the storage can not read at all we just delete the files in the local device or on the server.
Cloud Shredder not currently exist as a real service. Yet been tested for PDF files and OpenOffice documents, but the future any type of file can be used.
