Finally entering the Smartphone with the Intel Atom processor, Lenovo K800

After years of planning to explore the world of smartphones, Intel has finally completely immerse a chip for the first smartphone based on the Atom processor, Lenovo K800.

Smartphone-sized 4-inch is the first phone with an atom-based platform and Intel Atom Z2460 uses the Android operating system. K800 is also equipped with two 8-megapixel camera, as well as the technology built-in Intel Wi-In that allows users to be able to connect a wireless handset to an external display.
In its launch at CES (Consumer Electronic Show) 2012 held in Las Vegas starting Monday, (1/10/12) Intel also announced yesterday kemitraanya with Motorola Mobility "multi-year, multi-device relationship" that shows the Moto smartphones with Atom running Android.
Although no definite details about the design but the handset Motorola device will also use the Atom platform Z2460 is also known as 'Medfield' ie Intel devices specially designed for smartphones and tablets. This shows that not only that Lenovo will come out of the ARM processor architecture that has been widely used by smartphones and tablets at this time.

If the handset is successful then this could be a spur for other manufacturers to build Atom-based smartphone, "Our efforts with Lenovo and Motorola Mobility will help to build Intel processors in the smartphone market and provide a solid foundation to build 2012 and the future" said Otellini President and CEO of Intel.
He also added that the "best mobile experience" is a priority for Intel to be able to compete in the smartphone market.
