Ubuntu has been present for Android

News Ubuntu Linux-based operating systems that were previously rumored to prepare its presence in the smartphone and tablet does not appear likely not the word 'wind' ago. Now the operating system desktop on the most popular output Canonical has officially launched its new product called ' Ubuntu for Android '.

The new release of these new products bring the full Ubuntu desktop computing experience that is installed on the smartphone Android along with environmental standards. This new product allows users to run Ubuntuk of smartphone Android, how to install the device into a dock connected to the keyboard and monitor.

But not just Ubuntu virtualization applications on the phone, the developers also have brought together the architecture it runs on the Ubuntu kernel and Android are designed in such a way that works well on CPU dual-core ARM.

Interestingly users still have access to all Google applications such as Market, contacts, make and receive calls and perform other activities such as editing and displaying images, video. Even the receipt of information to all email, SMS or notification will still be there so that the device still works just like a smart phone.

Although similar to the platform Motorola WebTop, but Ubuntu for Android is bringing more a more comprehensive application integration with the Android platform. Ubuntu applications are at present in other inter Android smartphone Web browser Chronium, email client Thunderbird, applications microblogging Gwibber, VLC player and much more. Besides Ubuntu for Android  is also able to use the Android mobile connectivity 3G, HSDPA and 4G.

To install the new product is required Ubuntu Android phone with dual or quad core ARM processor with at least 512 MB of memory. In addition this product can only be installed on the handset that have HDMI ports.

For now Canonical has no plans to produce a cell phone or a special dock to run this product, but its founder Mark Shuttelworth discuss this new product on his blog and will be demonstrated at the Mobile World Congress next week.
